"Before petting a dog you don't know, it's a good idea to ask the owner if the dog is friendly."

There's a risk in everything we do, but we can mitigate risks through positive preventative action… Let's ask the owner:

Climate

It's going to be hot. We'll be making sure that you drink lots and lots of water and have plenty of time to relax in the afternoon in order to stay hydrated especially during our Carnival parade.

Carnival Etiquette

Pick-pocketing. It's nothing personal, but if you're carrying money, someone will try to take it. So, what do we do to make sure this doesn't happen? You won't be carrying money during the carnival, your guides will. In addition to your guides we will be having extra staff (security personnel) on hand to ensure that there aren't any uncomfortable situations.

Hair Touching. It's not uncommon that someone will pat your hair (especially if you're blonde). It's considered a compliment rather than an invasion of privacy. This goes both ways, woman will touch men's hair as well.

The bottom line is that we're going to spoil you and make you as comfortable as possible during your trip.

Time to pet that dog!
