Hotel Certosa di Maggiano,
Siena, Italy
Originally constructed by the
church in 1314 as a place for meditation and
prayer. The property was purchased by Signora
Anna Grossi Recordati in 1975 and elegantly
converted into a world class Relais and Chateaux
property.
The Certosa di Maggiano will
be our home in Siena for the last two days of
our Tuscan trip. It's a short leisurely 25 minute
walk into the center of Siena, but we'll be
running shuttles to ensure that we take advantage
of all the Palio festivities. This hotel personifies
Tuscany.
