If you look up the words "Charmingly
Beautiful" in the dictionary you'd see
a picture of this hotel. The sweet owner is
charming to the last drop and will overwhelm
you with her hospitality.
The Casa Bianca is set on the
ridge of the Chiana valley. We'll be arriving
here from our visit to the Monte Oliveto Maggiore
that morning/afternoon. This region is famous
for the beautiful scenery filmed in the Oscar
winning movie "The English Patient".
Cycling through the fields you'll feel like
you've dropped back in time.
We're excited as we'll be having
an local resident expert of Siena, Mario, come
and provide a presentation of what the Palio
is all about and how everything works. The CasaBianca
is a perfect location as they have a wonderful
patio to accommodate our lecture over canapés,
homemade pizzas and aperitifs.
If you arrive early from the
bike ride, their pool is to die for. Unlike
many of the hotels in the area, the CasaBianca
makes many of their own delicious specialty
products.
